The Martin Luther King Noon Day March

On January 16, 2012 to commemorate the Martin Luther King Birthday the Reenactment Society remembered Martin Luther King the Civil Rights Movement with one of the oldest Noon Day Civil Rights March established to recognize Martin Luther King's Birthday by giving employees the day off to commemorate and celebrate.
The Martin Luther King Noon Day March January 20, 2014
On January 20, 2014,to commemorate Martin Luther Kings Jr. Birthday, the Rev. George Lee and the Fannie Lou Hamer Museums, remembered Martin Luther King and the Civil Rights Movement with one of the Oldest Annual Noon Day Marches.
Among the marchers and participants were seniors from The Sunflower Humphreys Senior Companion Program Directed by Evelyn Henrey along with Ida Warren, Team Leader, of the Senior Companion Center of Belzoni.
Among the attendees of the Historical Noon Day March was Mayor Lenora Holmes Sutton, who is living the reality of the Dream of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. as the First African American Female Mayor of Belzoni along with Dr. Ronald Myers, one of the founders of the oldest MLK Noon Day Marches in the Mississippi Delta.
